With a little imagination you can transform these vintage dolls and doll parts into unique, one of a kind altered art creations. Use them in jewelry, assemblages, mixed media art projects, altered books or whatever you can envisage. All Frozen Charlotte and Frozen Charlie Dolls are imported directly from Nürnberg, Germany from the original excavator/collector. Many still carry with them some of the soil they were exhumed from, which adds to their allure. If there is something you're looking for and don't see it here, please contact me as I have many items that have yet to be listed. Check back often as the items on this page sell quite quickly!

Large Sized Mystery Frozen Charlotte Doll $16.50/ea.
Measuring between 3.5 and 4.5", these large sized Frozen Charlottes very slightly, but are sure to be adored by you. Like the small and medium mystery Charlottes, some are clean and shiny, some more dull, some with soil bits still on them and some without. The mystery is half the fun!

Antique Porcelain Bisque Doll: Large Frozen Charlie No 7 $29.00
This amazing large sized vintage Frozen Charlie bathing doll was made in 1890. He was unearthed after over 100 years underground while digging in a factory yard in Limbach, Thuringia Germany. Imported from Germany from the man who dug him up personally. He measures 4" tall and has the most fabulously amazing hollow head (perfect for a little bird nest or something else!). Keep him dirty or wash him up to use in your next project, or just keep to adore on a shelf in your studio.

Small Charlotte Goody Bundle $16.00
Sometimes just a Frozen Charlotte isn't as fun as a Frozen Charlotte with some extra goodies. This little bundle also has two vintage mother of pearl buttons, a vintage black button and a bundle of 5 old coin charms along with about a 3.5" tall girl. A little random, perhaps, but fun none the less! Create a little assemblage or use the extra bits in another project.

Dirty Victorian Era Doll Body #1 $4.25
I cannot get enough of these little doll bodies. I have used soooo many in my assemblage and other projects that I'm running low, but wanted to share a couple more in case I can't get additional ones. These bodies are from Victorian era dolls, from the 1860s and were exhumed in a factory yard in Germany. Keep them all dirty and lovely, or clean them up to collect or use in your altered art projects.

NEW Two Charlotte Sisters with Three Legs $27.00
These little beauties are about 3.5" tall and other than a small dirty spot (that could easily be cleaned off) on one of their legs, they are pretty darn pristine! They would really love to come live with you, I'm told, to bring you as much happiness as they've brought me over the past year or so that they have been perched in a basket next to my work area (my personal collection of Charlottes exceeded 250 so I'm parting with many!).

 |
Antique Boy Doll Head and Body $9.50
These doll bits were not originally together, but the head and body seemed to want to stay together. These were created in the 1860s and were found buried in a factory yard in Germany like all of my Charlottes. Imagine all of the things you could create with these two sweet pieces, together or as separate projects!

 |
 |
Two Frozen Charlotte Sisters with Arms $29.00
At about 3.5" tall, these one-armed sisters would make a fantastically cool double-Charlotte assemblage, or a two piece set. I'm sure you could come up with MANY great ways to use them in your art, or just use them as decorations in your home (I have TONS around my house too!).

 |
Frozen Charlotte Torso #5 $8.50
I've fallen quite in love with the big batch of Frozen Charlotte torsos I've gotten. How fun they are to use in jewelry, altered books and assemblages! This girl has some unique coloring and I just love that sweet nose of hers.

NEW Dirty Victorian Era Doll Body #2 $4.25
I cannot get enough of these little doll bodies. I have used soooo many in my assemblage and other projects that I'm running low, but wanted to share a couple more in case I can't get additional ones. These bodies are from Victorian era dolls, from the 1860s and were exhumed in a factory yard in Germany. Keep them all dirty and lovely, or clean them up to collect or use in your mixed media art projects.

 |
Antique Victorian Boy Head $5.00
Measuring about an inch and a half tall, this sweet little head is just begging to be made into something special. Create a body for him, top him on an altered bottle or create a little shrine for him -- whatever you create, I know it will be magnificent because he will be a part of it.

 |
Three Tiny Charlotte Sisters $15.00
Measuring about an inch in height, these three little Frozen Charlottes would be perfect for tiny assemblages, to use in altered books, or to make jewelry out of (I want a Charlotte necklace!). Be sure to send me pictures of what you create with them as I love these little triplets!

 |
 |
A Special Charlotte $14.00
I can't honestly say what makes this Frozen Charlotte any more special that other Charlottes, but there is something that I love so very much about her that I kind of feel sad listing her up for sale. Her head and facial glazing quirks are just divine, aren't they! I know you will love this 3.5" beauty!

 |
Three Victorian Era Doll Heads $14.00
You know the saying "two heads are better than one"? Well three are better than two. These Victorian Era doll heads measure about an inch and a half. These would be so gorgeous just sitting upon a shelf, but even better in an assemblage or super fat altered book, I would imagine. These little dudes are from the 1880s or so and like many of my other dolls were excavated, thus still a bit dirty.

 |
Two Sisters: Rare 1860s Victorian Dolls $24.00
These rare gems date from the early 1860s and measure just over 2.5" and 3.25". They told me that they wish to stay together, being sisters and all. It's difficult to tell in the phone but they have holes through their shoulders so you can attach arms with thin wires or string. How fun it would be to add them to an assemblage with funky little limbs.

 |
Medium Sized Mystery Frozen Charlotte Doll $13.50/ea.
Measuring up to about 3" each, these medium sized Frozen Charlottes vary slightly from doll to doll, but are sure to be adored by you. Like the small mystery Charlottes, some are clean and shiny, some more dull, some with soil bits still on them and some without. The mystery is half the fun!
TEMPOARILY OUT OF STOCK.

Rare Early Victorian Frozen Charlotte/Frozen Charlie #1 $14.95
According to my 7 year old I'm insane and this is a girl. Rubbish. I think he's a boy. What I do know for sure is that a) he's a very old/early style of Frozen Charlotte/Charlie, b) he was made in the early 1860s, c) he's 3.5" tall, and d) he wants to come live with you to either be a part of your ever-growing collection or to be put into gorgeous, never dying art.

 |
Little Victorian Boy Doll $11.95
I've only ever seen two of these little dudes in my life -- one for me and one for you. He dates from about 1860 I'm told, and stands (or teeters?) just over 2.5" tall. I love his little hat -- he kind of looks like a sailor to me. You could build him a little ship. ;)

 |
2 Bodies + 2 Heads = 2 Girls $14.50
These little girlies' heads didn't actually go with these bodies originally, but I thought they would look better with torsos so decided to toss them into the mix. The heads are not quite an inch in height, and the torsos about 1.5" tall. They are stamped on their backs: "4886 7" on one, and "6535 GERMANY" with a clover on the other.

 |
Hooded Victorian Doll $12.25
I guess it's more of a bonnet than a hood... but either way, she's sweet as can be and in fantastic condition (one chipped foot and a little bubble hole in her forehead). She measures about 3.5" tall and is from the 1860s, Germany. She has the holes in her shoulders for arms.

Charlotte Loves Pretty Things $26.00
Charlotte loves pretty things indeed! This bundle comes with a lovely one-armed, two-legged frozen Charlotte doll, a length of absolutely stunning black beaded Victorian dress trim, a pretty little old crotched doily and an Italian picture frame (the frame, I believe, is a modern replica of the very old, ornate antique Italian picture frames -- this one has plastic on the front instead of glass but the metal frame itself seems to be high quality).

 |
Rare Victorian Frozen Charlotte Coupling $16.95
These are the original styles of Frozen Charlottes from the 1860s -- you can see that the hairstyles are different, the arms come out at a different angle, the hair is different and the tummies are a bit fuller. The right Charlotte (whom I initially thought was a Charlie) has a much more pronounced face, especially the nose. They measure 2.25" tall.

 |
 |
Frozen Charlotte Torso #3 $9.50
finally gotten a huge new batch of Frozen Charlotte dolls from Germany again and am absolutely in love with these torso ones that I'm keeping several for myself. This one measures just over 3" tall and would be a gorgeous addition to any art piece or just sitting sweetly on a shelf.

Porcelain Doll Heads $13.00/ea.
I just fell instantly in love with this wee set of quadruplet heads (I know, the photo only depicts twins) -- they are just adorable. I honestly couldn't say if they are vintage or not though they were sold as "antique doll heads". I didn't notice until I had them home that they say "Made in Taiwan" on a sticker on the backs of them.
I probably paid WAY too much for them in that case but I don't care -- they are just sweet as and I've never seen them elsewhere!

Extra Large Antique China Doll Head #2 $25.99
This is a bitter sweet story.
Just the other day, I found this antique China doll head. She was almost exactly like one I already had, so I had to snatch her right up -- girls dig sisters, ya know? So I get home and the first one had sold! I was happy to introduce them for a couple of hours in passing, and include both in the photo together.
This one is a tad less shiny than the first
but just as pretty.
She 4.5" tall including head and shoulders -- has black hair, blue eyes and rosy cheeks. On her back, she is stamped with a number "5".

 |
NEW Painted Early Victorian Baby Doll $13.00
Before this little one, I had never seen a doll like this before. She measures about 2.5" tall and has painted on facial features (including adorable cheeks) and hair. I am told that this could be as old as from the 1830s but I have no way to verify this. All I know is that it's definitely from the 1800s and I've never seen one before (but hope I see lots more!).

 |
Extra Large Antique China Doll Head $25.99
This large hand-painted antique China Doll beauty measures almost 4.5" tall including head and shoulders. She has black hair, blue eyes and rosy cheeks. On her back, she is stamped with a number "5".

 |
 |
Antique China Doll Legs/Feet $10.99
Just as the set below, these sweet legs measure 3.5" long. They are a bit lighter in hue and don't have the imperfection on the left leg as the other pair though I'm keeping them at the same price. On the tops, they say "Japan". I can't wait to see what you make with them!

 |
Antique Baby Head #2 $4.25
Measuring just over 1.25" tall, this little antique baby doll head is too adorable to pass up. He is from the 1890s, and like many of my other antique dolls and parts, was excavated from a doll factory yard in Nürnberg, Germany. I've left the soil on him as I feel it adds to the charm, but of course you can clean him off if you prefer.

 |
Antique China Doll Legs/Feet $10.99
These pudgy sweet legs go with the Extra Large Antique China Doll Head above, and measure 3.5" long. They are antique hand-painted porcelain and are too sweet to pass up. Use them alone or with her head (above).
