Paper Printed and Digital Collage Sheets
Altered Bits' collage sheet selection offers something for almost everyone. My goal is to have a wide range of imagery to use, rather than the same image re-colored ten different ways (what fun is that?). Use in your altered books or art journals, jewelry, or any mixed media altered art project such as assemblages, shrines, shadow boxes or whatever you desire.

The Papers and Info on Digital Collage Sheets
Our Matte Finish Collage Sheets are printed on high-quality, acid free, 35 lb. (8.5"x11") matte photo paper that is a bit lighter in weight than most typical photo papers and does not bleed when varnished or painted on like some gloss papers do. This makes it easier to use on uneven surfaces. We love to color on these with Caran d'Ache Neocolor II Water soluble Wax Pastels, then varnish. Makes for gorgeous, one of a kind work! Holds varnish extremely well.
Our Gloss Finish Collage Sheets are printed on high-quality 90 lb. (8.5"x11") glossy photo paper. If you wish to color on these with Caran d'Ache Neocolor II Water soluble Wax Pastels (such as on the black and white collage sheet elements), you may wish to coat with a layer of varnish or Mod Podge first to keep the ink from potentially bleeding; HOWEVER, since purchasing our new really fabulous printers, we have yet to find a product to make any of our collage sheets bleed color.
Our Vellum Collage Sheets are printed on high-quality, acid free, medium-weight clear velum (8.5"x11"). As a side note, after trying over half a dozen different brands and types of vellum, "clear" does not actually mean clear in the sense that one would imagine, though they are, of course, translucent. It is best to first adhere your vellum imagery to it's surface before painting or coloring as it tends to curl when moistened.
Our Digital Collage Sheets are for use in your art projects will be emailed within one business day (unless there is a note on our main page stating that we will be out of town or temporarily unavailable to mail/ship items, though this has only happened once as we don't vacation as often as we should) in high resolution JPG format (please let me know if you prefer transparent PNGs or TIFs instead -- JPGs will be sent if file type is not specified). Our collage sheets 300dpi and are designed for printers that allow borderless printing. Save money on shipping fees and
